How it goes

    Export what you have

    Every tool on this page exports CSV, and a spreadsheet already is one. Export everything — you are not committing to anything by having the file.

    Check the column names

    Headers the importer recognises map with no work at all. The ones it does not are listed below rather than silently dropped, so you know before you start rather than after.

  3. 03

    Import and review

    Upload the file and see the rows it will create before anything is written. Fix a mapping, re-upload, repeat — nothing is final until you say so.

  4. 04

    Assign and go live

    Custody starts at the first checkout rather than in a column, so the register is accurate from day one instead of inheriting whatever the last one drifted into.

8 do not — and here is why

Mostly because they are not columns in a tool: custody is a checkout, a warranty is a record with a reminder on it, and book value is calculated rather than stored.

Will I lose my history?

No — you keep your records. Once you're in Stackroom, custody, scans and audits build a fresh, verifiable history going forward.

Can you help with a big or complex migration?

Yes. We offer white-glove migration: send us your export from a spreadsheet, Sortly, Snipe-IT or another tool and we'll handle the import with you.
